About
Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE) is a Not-For-Profit, national NGO established by a few volunteer Ethiopians in 1966. Upon establishment, it pioneered family planning (FP) thinking and methods. Through time it was able to provide many-options in contraceptive methods, including surgical contraception. Inaddition, emphasizing other quality of care considerations, it ramified its service frontier to include sexual and reproductive health.
 
FGAE has eight Area Ofices in different geographical regions of the country. Area Offices and their frontline service delivery structures manage wide varieties of service delivery outlets, which are the cutting edge of the Association. FGAE currently operates 18 reproductive health (RH) clinics. Trained and experienced health care professionals, psychosocial counselors and their auxiliaries work in these clinics, committed to provide comprehensive high-quality RH services.
FGAE is an affiliate member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
